I switched to clenil earlier this year. The only side effect was a bit of thrush. Insomnia and restlessness kicked in when I began a course of prednisone and is still with me. Is clenil all you take?

Yes and ventolin when needed. Had to come of my inhalers for 2 days. When I went back on this is what happened. Was adviced to stop clencil at night.

So the symptoms started when you stopped taking clenil? That’s a bit odd.

Does it take a few days for the clencil to leave the body.

Not sure about Clenil but when I moved off Seretide the doctor said it took about a month and sometimes more to clear the system. That was a double action jobbie though Preventer/Reliever so it may take longer. Not sure about things like Clenil. I'm still not sure that stopping the steroid content should bring on insomnia. Might be worth asking the doc. Might be something else entirely.
