Maybe I will stick to this thread getting confused on the other one.

What meds is he on? Have you considered asking for a referral to a specialist?

hes on blue inhaler the strong brown one the gp just increased that not long ago and for past 4 -5 month on and off steroid tablets he had one lot just over a week ago and back on them again today got to take him back tomorrow and gp mentioned may be referring him today but as of yet she as not

I would just say you want that referral, my son is 3 and I would be lost without his respiratory consultant who has been great. They have a lot more experience with dealing with children with asthma :)

thank you jenny

I will ask tomorrow because I am not happy with how he his and how often he his having attcks.

Yeah perhaps discuss that referral again? Also what about asking him if there is a different inhaler? Is it Clenil 100 inhaler? My son was changed from this when he was having 6 puffs a day top seretide 125.

yes he was on the 50 one now hes on the 100 it dark brown having 2 puffs 3 times daily

The seretide is a combination inhaler with a long acting reliever as well as a preventer. They may put him on this next if the brown inhaler isn't controlling his asthma sufficiently. X
