ambulatory oxygen
Basically they will determine if it would help you to use oxygen when you are walking around/doing things. You will be assessed by blood tests and a 6 minute walk test. You won't be offered it if it is not clinically advised. good luck!

Easy to use Sachmo, and if you need it, you will find it beneficial. Doesn't stop breathlessness, but makes sure your other organs are well supplied if you desaturate on excercise.
Best wishes, ingrid
Hi Sachmo,
I have ambulatory oxygen in the form of two small cylinders which I can use if I go out or want to do some gardening, not that I can do much !
I use a concentrator iindoors,

I have ambulatory oxygen but i don't use it as often as I should I think.
If you are prescribed it you will probably find it is a good help for getting out and about and enable you to exercise for longer which can only be a good thing. Good luck!
I would advise you to ask for Liquid O2- much lighter to carry. You fill the small tank up from A large one. Try looking up CaireMedical.com for some pictures.
thank you all for respondingto my blog you are such great people.
