Attempting to rake up the leaves in the yard and in the pool (and taking many rests!) only to find that before I have time to sweep them into the bin, the wind has scattered them far and wide. I think I'll have another cuppa tea and a quick lie down and leave the sweeping for another day!

“He was talking about the sign that said 'THE COMPLICATED FUTILITY OF IGNORANCE.'

'All knew was that I didn't want my daughter or anybody's child to see a message that negative every time she comes into the library,' he said. 'And then I found out it was you who was responsible for it.'

'What's so negative about it?' I said.

'What could be a more negative word than "futility"?' he said.

'"Ignorance,"' I said.”

Hi Martin

Get a man (or woman) in. lol

I have three huge Ash trees, two Palm trees and a Spruce. No problem with the Spruce but the Ash trees and the Palm trees make such a mess!!! Having said that, they are absolutely beautiful in their full glory.

On a (hopefully) helpful note, I don't rake the leaves up. I get my mower out and just 'mow' them up. Sorted!!!

I almost forgot to say (doh!) I have to pick up the spikey Palm leaves by hand because if they get into the mower then the mower needs a service.

Good luck

Hi Annec

Hmm! its been a long time since I have been able to use the mower (Puff! Puff!) so we have a man to cut the grass for us. I do sweep up when I can, particularly as we have flowering azaleas which drop copious quantities of blossoms in the pool. Stay well. Martin
