after effects of prednisolone.
I am sorry to hear you are not to well.Could the Doctor not visit you when you are not feeling too good.?
Don't forget to have a daily dose of humour with KOTC posts.
i manage to get to doctors at mo, my daughter takes me as i dont drive, and she only works 2 days a week. But , yes, some days i have felt so poorly, and not felt like making the effort to go, and wish the doctors would come out. (They used to in 'our' day), i was a child in the 50s, and the doctor would come out. But today they expect you to crawl there.
Know exactly what you mean with the doctors, I'm about the same age as you, however you should be able to access the 'district nurse' when you really need to be seen by someone. try your local Health Centre/Council for her contact details.
I was told i could not avail the services of thr district nurse as I was mobile on crutches round the house
I suppose it might vary from location to location, Hecter, but this certainly was not the case for me.
The District Nurse also advised me that " If you do not push for what you want, then you will not get it !" so don't be afraid to question what you have been told with the local Health Authority.
My experience also of waiting in a telephone queue early in the morning wishing that any doctor will see me. When this service fails unfortunately a visit by taxi into A&E is my next decision, do I feel ill enough for hospital no only any doctor.
I have found coming off prednisolone is almost like giving up smoking, I have been trying to kick the habit for months, having been on various doses from eight 5mg pills downwards for well over a year. Every time I got to three something would go wrong and the doctors would up the dose.
Fingers crossed, I have managed to get down to two pills, by using 1mg pills and reducing the dose very slowly. When I look a photos taken a few months ago I can see how my face has changed, but better a chubby face than being so ill I can't move.
cannt kick them either
