We went off to the allotment this morning to start preparing for this growing season. It was lovely out.
Tomorrow, we plan to do the gym first for an hour, then the allotment. Glutton for punishment really, we need to start digging the potato trenches.
Nice hot bath at the ready after all that, I think.

I've had a great day too. Lots of chores out the way this morning like bank, shops etc. then lunch and then a lovely walk around a local park. So lovely to see the plants breaking through with some colour and saw lots of very noisy birds! Spring is definitely just round the corner!
I hope you get to enjoy some of this more pleasant weather.
Pleasant weather and more happy days so beneficial in picking up the pace as we move into springtime on a positive high catching up on all the missed opportunities falling in the snow, rain and winter gales.
Preparing for the release from winter captivity with regular muscle conditioning has me in good shape for getting the most from the experiences.
Oh sweet memories you brought flooding back, of the days when my hubby & I ran two allotments . Theres no substitute for fresh grown fruit and veg as well as it being good exercise if you can manage and you meet like minded people. My day consisted of household chores only the dining room to do tommorrow. my gardening has to be very simplictic nowdays could be worse at least I can stiil get out in the garden.Out in yje sun if its still here on Sunday
Warm sun on the back having a social outing with like minded others always a bit of chat on how ready other gardeners are with polytunnels or covers removed from beds ready for use.
If they are earlies, March. If they are maincrop then April. Might be earlier if you live in the south, or later if you live further north. We are in the Midlands.
Great to hear everyone perking up and enjoying the clear blue skies and sun. Walked along the Welsh Coast path with my son. He has lost his job in London and was close to homelessness and without money. So, Mum has stepped in - he is now with me temporarily to sort himself out. But we had a great walk and chucked stones in sea - good fun. Take care all. xxx
