Thanks for this PollyP - the British Thoracic Society have issued guidelines on assessing if a person needs oxygen for a flight - I'm pretty sure it contains this.

But isn't it so hard to understand? - certainly something that everyone should first discuss with their health care professional.

Oh certainly agree Mark, that people should discuss this issue with their health care providers. And in case is it not their GP who needs to refer the person for assessment for in flight Oxygen?
