Hi all, I have been researching on Third-Hand smoke for the last few weeks and realised not many are aware it. Especially the parents who are smokers. Are there people already familiar with Third-Hand smoke?

I walked down a supermarket isle yesterday. It was empty but stunk of smoke from the clothes of someone who had walked down it before me.
I would never have been able to smell that when I smoked.

I get this all the time, invisable smokers linkger on?
Which is why we should not just ask our loved ones to smoke outside but to avoid being near us immediately afterwards or we inhale the stuff that clings to their clothes. Nasty.
On the pavement, I soon know if somebody is smoking - it wafts in the air.
Cig smoke smells so nasty now and yet I used to smell of smoke, think of my poor husband and children and what they put up with,, I feel quite ashamed.

My granddaughter (19) has just moved in with me and she smokes outside. She is wanting to stop so I just hope she can do it. As soon as she is registered to my surgery she is going to see the same nurses that helped me. It's 19 months and counting for me now. Am wondering how Rose is going on with it. xx
That was one of the first things I noticed when I stopped smoking. Passing people in the street and smelling the smoke on them.
Initially I would look for the cigarette, but soon realized the stench was from the one they'd just smoked.
What I must have put my kids through is unforgivable
I only notice this from time to time. If I have not had any puffs and go out I smell it on people. If I have lapsed and had a couple fo puffs I do not notice it xxxxx
