I have just been to put my dustbin out, the wind lifted the lid and it hit me square on the nose. It isn't broken but it really hurts. I am a very clumsy person left to my own devises but now it seems like the elements are out to get me.

Sorry you got hurt Gilly, hope you feel better soon! x
Just had a good idea to ease the pain, retail therapy (if I dare go out) Thanks for your concern folks it really does help. xxx
Try putting a few frozen peas in a plastic bag and hold them onto you nose and take the painkillers.
Hope it doesn't result in black eyes.

Strange how these things happen. It's like those days when you go out in the car and seem to have a large magnet attached to it ... Cars pull out just missing you at junctions, pedestrians step off the pavement in front of you just as you get really close, cars brake suddenly and virtually stop in front of you on roundabouts ... And that's all within a few hundred yards of leaving home!!
Poor Gilly, that would hurt, but the retail therapy sounds good to me,but please watch your step!!!
Happy new Year xxx
OUCH. Brought tears to my eyes just reading about it! One thing I've found since my copd got worse is that I'm so slow moving around that I am less accident prone than I used to be when I was always charging around! And a good thing too! Libby x
Not a good start to the year, but a bit of retail theraphy should take your mind off it. Hope it's less sore tomorrow
I hate the fact I am so accident prone myself but I hate it more when it is the elements that get me. I ended up having to go in and see the GP yesterday. I had only gone to get my daughters catheters for her. The local underpath stream had become an overpath river. I had popped the plantar thingy in my heel back in mid November but thenyesterday, jeans hitched up and paddling through something ripped again in my heel, far worse than the pop back then. I should have gone into a half plaster back then but decided against it as I needed to care for my daughter and at one point doing hospital visits to see her, not easily done in a cast lol. Anyway now it turns out I have damaged the healing process and also looks as though I have torn ligaments arond the heel. What a mess it is now and all down to the rain making a river. I am sorry you hurt yourself, not funny at the best of times and I hopes it stops hurting soon xxxxx(got orthopedics appointment 15th)
