oxygen pain in my head when i fall asleep, help
I did get vile overnight headaches at one time and it was because my oxygen level was set too high for sleeping and needed to be reduced at night, when I was not active, compared to my day time setting. I cannot say that yours is the same though. I would have a word with your medics.
Auntymary
I had the same problem when first on oxygen overnight, same as auntymary. I had to have overnight oximetery to determine the right level of oxygen. The headaches had been caused by Co2 retention due to being on too high flow level. Plwease speak to your Respiratory team.
Best wishes
Jo
I was told to watch out for this when I was first given oxygen.Like jojam says it's because there is too much CO2.
Being dehydrated can also cause bad headaches so ensure you are drinking enough.
ive never had any pain in the head due to oxygen and been on it over 12 yrs, sleep with it, on 1.5 lte /min, pain there i thought mostly due to sinus problems, i would have that checked .
