How much is the Winter Fuel allowance for the over 60`s and when is it usually paid ?
£200 per household, so if you live on your own or with a partner under 60, you get the full sum; if you live with a partner, who also qualifies, then you only get £100 - partner gets the other £100. Over 80 and you get £300.
If you get a pension, it will be paid automatically, but if you are male and under 65, it is worth making contact with the department.
It is usually paid with pensions around the beginning of December.

You can't get it 60 anymore though. It is nearer 65.
If you born before 5th July 1951 you are elegable for winter fuel payment.
plus there is a extra cold weather payment of £25 per week if the temperture reachs freezing for a period of days
The cold weather payment is subject to receipt of a qualifying benefit, usually pension credit.
I get it and am not on any benefits.
