Good Morning Everyone

I hope everybody is feeling well today.

This has come from the Press and Campaigns Team.

The Smoke-Free Private Vehicles bill, to prohibit smoking in cars with child passengers, has just this week been unexpectedly moved up the order paper ahead of its scheduled reading in the House of Commons this Friday (2 Nov). As a result, it is now very likely to be read and possibly voted on, which is fantastic news. However, in order for a successful reading, we really need as many supportive MPs to turn up as possible and so need people to email their MPs through our online e-letter and create a buzz through social media.

It would be great if you could email your MP email your MP (please use your personal email)

Tweet: Eg: Write to your #MP against #smokingincars with children. Bill to be discussed in House of Commons on Friday, bit.ly/V4JMoC @lunguk

(or you can just retweet @lunguk)

Facebook: Share information on your Facebook or/and share the BLF post on SiC

I completely agree with this idea, BUT how on earth is it to be "Policed" ??.Can you imagine Police cars siding up to suspected vehicles whilst on the move at speed , to check somone is'nt having a puff -it could either cause a pile up or traffic jams as other vehicles try to get out of the way of BOTH vehicles IE, the Police car and the suspect vehicle, - imagine this happening on the mighty M25 !!! . A pal of mine was recently stopped for "Apparently" using a Mobile phone whilst driving - cor, were there red faces by the police when they finally realised he was only - wait for it folks - SCRATCHING HIS EAR ,! and he DOES'NT EVEN OWN A MOBILE PHONE !! - Oh dear !! - as the say - "Coming events casting their shadows " .....Vittorio.
