I was watching a programme on TV last night (think it was Homeland if anyone else is watching it!) and there was an advert for the big supermarket that is green selling your favourite brand of soup for 50p a tin!
I know you and others are always on the look out for bargains!
Hope this helps

Thanks Jo - Yes, the one who pat their back pockets... A bit silly that they are doing it at 50p a single tin, yet the 4 pack is £3.28 in their store!!!
I got some packs of 4 for £2 quite recently, which works out the same price. They are that price in the store that gives Nectar points just now - they also have an offer on single tins at 3 for £2,
Ah - and my local 'every little helps' store also has individual tins at 50p until the 23rd
No, I've not just had a dash round the stores to see for myself - I use mysupermarket.co.uk which is a free comparison site
We're going there later this week. The freezer is a bit on the empty side and I've managed to get some coupons. They've just changed their Bonus Card and sent new ones out, with a £2 off a £20 shop coupon. I also do some online surveys and got a £10 shopping voucher the other day, which is as good as cash and can be used with the offer coupon. Looking forward to getting a couple of bags full of stuff for under a tenner!
I notice that they have the 4 pack of 'famous name' beans at £2.50 a pack or 2 for £3
Aye the taste changed a good whole back. The either reduced or removed salt and sugar, and it affected the taste somewhat. However, its still my favourite and l bought quite a few tins at 50p last week
As scotstaz says, they have reduced the salt and sugar levels and the recipe itself has changed a few times. At one point the veg soup in particular was almost a jelly as you tipped it out of the tin, but has gone back to liquid again now.
I've tried a few different ones, other known makes, supermarkets own, packets and tins. I keep going back to the one I like best.
One other tip I'll pass on - the pound shops are doing tins of this famous brand soup at 'two for a pound' but beware, these are only 300 gram size, the 'full size' tins I buy are 400 gram. Having said that, I'm sure they used to be 454 gram (16 ounces or 1 pound) at one time...
