I would ring them to see what they say, they do advise if you have a chest infection not to attend the sessions mixing with the others Val

I am very fortunate to have access to a purpose built respiratory unit. The physiotherapists there send new admissions to pulmonary rehab classes immediately because it has been shown (by their and others' research) that exercise, even if the patient has a chest infection, is beneficial.

Concur with Val Julia, if you have a chest infection it would be grossly injurious to others with already compromised breathing.

If you have a chest infection you should be taking your NICE package of antibiotics and corticosteroids taking it easy and getting well. (If you don't have these, call your Doctor IN as soon as possible and get yourself right)

The PR can wait until you’re right. Your 6 minute walk test would not reflect your true potential, I know after attending six complete course, what my local Respiratory Team would say...............STAY AWAY.
