Hi my Respiratory Nurse Specialist is the best thing that happened for me it's really great to be treated and helped by someone who knows what they are talking about .

xx Gill

She will ask you a series of questions, be sure to tell her how it is precisely. Then she'll carry out a series of checks. It will be helpful to you. So glad you didn't have to wait too long to see the respiratory nurse.

Have a great day Julia

we have an appt on wed for oxygen re assessing. She said its important that he is not on anti biotics or got a chest infection, as the 2 go together it's not going to be easy. He has his time of the month now, it always seems around a certain time and I can see the signs appearing, but as long as he can hold out till wednesday am not gonna say anything or else this appt will be put off again and again. The one thing I learned from the first oxygen assessment is speak your mind, tell her if anything is bothering you. That time I listened to her teling him he should be doing more and she didnt even do the abg as his sats were 92 sat.She had his notes there and she didnt even open them. We went home and he went out into the garden, I have to do more he said. He came in looking like papa smurf. I rang the resp nurse straight away and she arranged for ambulatory oxygen which arrived the next day. She hadnt looked at his notes, she asked why he had been in hosp and he said Pneumonia, presuming that she would know he had ipf and copd, Well don't presume anything. Thats why she said he should be doing more, she thought he had just had pneumonia. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.Am going fully armed this time.
