I am trying to get travel insurance so I can to Europe, but it seems my conditions Emphysema and cardiac failure as well as my age (67) is against me getting cover has anyone come across this problem and found a solution. Many Thanks

I know there are a few insurance companies that do insure people with pre-existing illnesses...can`t remember their names offhand but the Blf helpline should have this info for you.
I used Unique when I went to New York in May. Their details were on the website. I thought they were pretty reasonable given my pre-exisitng conditions. Definitely shop around though - there are a number of companies out there and like I said they are listed on the BLF site.

The BLF helpline may well be able to help you with this, I think they have been accumulating information for a list of insurers. The helpline is open normal working week days from 10 am to 6pm telephone 03000 030 555.
