I can understand that they need to reduce the bills, and that some conditions can improve over time. But anyone with severe stage COPD does not need to be reviewed annually (or even every three years) to determine that their condition has not improved.
Interesting read. I haven't come across that one before - thank you for sharing it with us. P.
What a terrible state of affairs, poor man. I do hope he gets some positive results from this and is now left in peace.
It is so sad and just proves that the system isn't working. I do hope this man will get the benefits he deserves without him having to put his life at risk.
I really feel for this poor man, having undergone the atos experience myself and read with horror their so called comments i can completly understand where he is coming from. Those of us that have lack of energy with depression and everything else that goes with it find life hard enough without this thrown at us. It really does push you to your limit as well as making you feel worthless.
Yes the people abusing the system need to be weeded out, but surely a line should be drawn when people are terminally ill and are not going to get better? these people should be allowed to enjoy the time they have left not constantly worrying about how they will pay their bills and meet their care needs?
