COPD
Hi Criss - I'm assuming you had this test in hospital? If so, then they should have referred you for an appointment with the chest clinic. They will then assess the level of COPD you have and your GP should then prescribe an appropriate inhaler. That is what I found out a year after I was diagnosed with COPD. If your doctor hasn't done so yet, you should really ask for an appointment to discuss your options. I have now changed surgery and I think i have my meds pretty much sorted now. Don't be afraid to ask for all the help you need. This site is brilliant because you can ask anything and people are going through the same or similar conditions as you. Good luck x
No i had test done by nurse at doctors ,i was told that inhalers are available, and had a chest xray which was okay ,that is it. Thanks for reply
Are you having difficulty breathing criss?
I am when doing anything or walking
I would then take advantages of the inhalers available to you, these should be prescribed by your GP or through the consultant.
As previously mentionined in my reply to your other post:
I don't think the nurse should have told you, mine didn't, I was given an appointment to see my GP who then informed me. I then had a trial of a month each on two different inhalers to find out which worked the best for me. I had a chest X-Ray which like you came out clear. I also made an appointment with my GP to ask her any questions about the condition that I wanted to put to her.
