I mentioned I saw my respiratory consultant last Thursday. He referred me for spirometry and scan. I called the radiology department and she said it's not ultra ultra urgent but can you have it this Thursday am. If this is not urgent I wonder how quick you have it? Knowing my luck it will probably take an age to be reported on. Now I just have to chase the spirometry test.

Wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Better than waiting months for the scan. Also for suspected cancer they called me up to make the appointment on the same day of the referral for three days hence.
Your scan came quick - Scan's are reported to your dr or consultant pretty fast is much is wrong - Not sure how long spirometry test take, maybe they will be faster or not on your scan results.
maybe they had a cancellation that they offered to you? That’s happened to me. If the results show up something, they will contact you quickly.
The lady I spoke to gave me a few choices of times on that day for the scan, so I got the impression it was to be done fairly quick. I hope there is nothing wrong but I'd rather know sooner than later if there is and have it sorted. I have a spirometry test booked at my Gp's in a week but the Consultant wants one done at the hospital.
The hospital will know the results of your spirometry test. I know hospitals have been able to access information from my record. You could even ask your GP to forward results to your consultant.
Hi, that is great it came through so quickly.
Here we have brand new diagnostic hubs who are also offering scans at weekends.
Mine is booked for Saturday Mar 1 at 5.45 pm!
Go well
Pauline ,
scans in Gloucestershire are pretty fast in general. Results are very quick too. Hope all goes well.
It's good you are being seen so quickly. Hopefully your spirometry will come through quickly. I've found the hospital tests to be more comprehensive than ones done by my GP. Good luck. ss
Maybe she had a cancellation.
