I've been on trelegy since the end of November. I'm still undecided as in the morning after I've taken it my breathing seems to get worse before it gets better. So I probably will be trying a different one. 😉

Hi, I’ve been on Trellegy about 2 months now and as long as I rinse my mouth out after use it has been fine. I seem to have more energy………long may it last🐞🐝

Yes, I was put on Trelegy and within 4 days I couldn’t breathe, and got a very bad chest infection. I’m back on my old inhalers.

I was put on Trelegy a year or 3 ago by the asthma nurse at my surgery. He said it would dry up the sputum, which sounded like a good idea. A few weeks later I went to Pulmonary Rehab and the respiratory physio had a fit. She said that Trelegy was totally unsuitable for people with Bronchiectasis, who are supposed to clear the sputum out of their lungs, which is much harder/ impossible if it's dried up. I quickly went back to Relvar. None of you folk have specified which lung disease you have, but perhaps my physio's words will interest you. She is a really knowledgeable lady.

That's interesting to know Alberta. I have been trying out Luforbec as the chemist are not issuing Fostair and have found that this is drying me up and giving me a dreadful cough. I sent a note with my prescription online to ask if they will change my inhaler. I will make a note for Trelegy so they don't put me on it x

Theoretically you should be all right on Trelegy, which you obviously are not. One thing you learn on this forum is that not all medicines suit all patients. Makes me wonder how many cases there are any of Trelegy disagreeing with Copd people. Make sure your doctor is aware of this.

Hi, I too had the same reaction to Trelegy. I struggled for a few of months using this medication. I trued to discuss this issue with respitory nurse, perservere she said!! I did for nearly 3 months. But, after feeling really rotten & breathless I decided to revert back to Braltus & Relvar this week.. I must say I feel so much better, my breathings improved and I generally feel better. I'm hoping to book an appointment with my GP at some point to review my meds. Not all medications suit everyone, maybe we should have our inhalers reviewed after so long.

I think we need to be very firm in telling our medical teams what suits us and what doesn't. One size definitely doesn't suit all

So true, I am at pulmonary rehab tomorrow and have arranged to discuss my meds with an expert regarding this issue. I find the respiratory team a better option than GP or practice nurse when it it comes to COPD medication & advice.

HI there do you not have your inhalers reviewed every year? I have mine done but the GPs do not change them anymore or the nurse due to ending up in hospital in the past. Not everyone can use any inhaler, so I think you need to discuss this with your Gp. It's a bit like arthritis if its osteo exercise helps but if you have gout no exercise while in flare up. We are all different with different types of illness maybe several different illness so one size does not fit all and if you allow your medics to think it does they will think all is OK. I recall once being told but thousand take these every day it can't be the drug , but it can if it does not suit we realised that at times it may merely be the coloured coating of tablets if a person is allergic just like nuts millions eat them but people have allergies to them and could die. Hope this helps you to see it from a different point of view.

Hi Katie, Sorry for late reply, I really appreciate your comments & yes, we are all different. My sister has the same condition and has no problems with her inhalers!! I can see a different point of view. I don't recall ever seeing my GP to review my inhalers. Although I have been on them for many years, they just change an inhaler if I have an issue. I really don't seem to get on with the triple inhalers at all. I saw respiratory nurse at PR yesterday, she discussed my inhalers with me at length. Checked my technique which was fine. I have now been changed from Trelegy back to Braltus & Relvar. Will be seen to review in 4 weeks. I'm feeling much more positive & less anxious for the support given by Respiratory team as a whole.

I’ve been on trelegy for about 3 years and never had a problem,( i have copd). I have to rinse mouth and gargle every evening when i use it. So far it has been the best preventer inhaler i have been prescribed. But i agree, not all medicines suit everyone. We are all different and what suits one maybe won’t suit another. I hope you are ok now back on your previous inhaler. I’m not sure why your nurse changed it. I think if a medicine is suiting us why change it.

My respiratory doctor said I should try Trelegy but my GP, based in the neighbouring county wehre I live, said it wasn't available here. Fortunately Trimbow suits me and my COPD.
