Update 😊 Well well well. l had my telephone conversation with my GP today then it continued into a face to face appointment Result 😊 GP took on board everything I had to say all info research ( advice ) I received from the lovely people on this forum on the way forward to deal with this med issue & googles help also a breakdown of my condition over the last few years & the constant decline health wise since October he sat listening but looking at his computer I was calm but strong (don't know how ) because I'm absolutely drained & zapped mentaly physically & bodily

He looked up at me & said what's the name of the brand you want i had 2 empty old brand names boxes with me i took out the Pfizer zithromax box ( in for a penny n all that ) he said i will change it to this brand for your next repeat due date omg the relief i felt

I couldn't have done this without the help from you all on this forum you gave me the strength & confidence πŸ™

Special thanks to telephonejunkie . Mopsey1897. garshe. Alberta56 & of course everyone who took the time to read my post comment & send good luck & best wishes to me thank God for forums like this i couldn't have done it without you

Never give up on what rightfully should be right for you & your health

Best wishes to you all ❀️

Congratulations Daisy, that is wonderful.

Well worth asking here on the forum, doing the research, taking the issue to the GP, getting a result.

All credit to you. #empowerment

Congratulations! Well done for being firm under pressure - it worked!

My response also worked - I'm back to the omeprazole tablets after the Pharmacy Team reviewed my webmail message.

Hopefully other site users will take the message from our successes. If your surgery makes a prescription change without involving you, and it affects your health, politely but firmly insist on a return to the medication that worked.

Thank you Ergendl good news for you too 😊 & yes that can be a possibility but I will definitely challenge in the future & keep doing my health diary as proof on going forward best wishes to you & your health πŸ™

Thank you Kitten-kat23 all with help from this forum a valuable thing to have 😊

Well done Daisy. My personal view is that sometimes GPs actually prefer it if you've researched your own health condition and come up with a solution. They have so little time and they're not experts in lung conditions like us!

Thank you CoughingallthewayI have brought this issue up in other yrs gone by with my gp ( granted not for a while ) but were told the genetics was no different to the branded & told its all in my head (not good) but then I had been receiving the original brand i was giving when first diagnosed the difference it made was astonishing then back to a different type health declined again & so on it went I had been constantly poorly since beginning of October having to have different antibiotics & steroids every couple of weeks upto date until I couldn't take anymore hence seeking desperate help from a lot of lovely people on this forum & armed with all my notes I finally feel I've been listened too i probably just didn't know the correct way or maybe the fear of been dismissed again I don't know .

Thank you once again ive found people here very helpful kind & certainly caring 😊
