The new swift queue

Hello all well this subject is not to do with personal health, but the difficulties with ditigal bookings to help you keep well. I am signed up with swiftqueue which allows you to book blood test s at the the chemist of choice and time of choice. All these bookings get confirmed om my PC and mobile phone . And there the success ends because when you cancel or reschedule the appointment changes in your booking page on PC but not on the mobile phone. Plus my chemist rang and changed one appointment but it never changed in my digital data. The same goes for my opticians its the NHS digitals . So fingers crossed when I go for the appointments logged by my pen on a callender I have the times & dates correct that were exchanged on the telephone. Best wishes everyone if you need a blood test prior to scan or surgery . Its possibly quickjer but can get confusing for older people.

Hi Don thanks for laugh the Taylor Swift joke. Mind you if I got two of her tickets me and my granddaughter could go especially if it was free like swift queue and much more exciting don't you think. Bye for now. x

Thank you for the heads up Katie, nothing like that about 60 miles south of you. My neighbour has few problems like this, she simply told them she doesn't have a smartphone or computer. Good move, everyone else I know at the same surgery has no end of problems - including the 10 long queue at the pharmacist yesterday looking for their prescriptions which hadn't been sent through.

I don't have problems with chemist or my GP its the NHS computer that runs swiftqueue. Its been down so many times and everything gets stuck in the computer .Here was me thinking I was making a typying error. Guess my local NHS computers are the ones trying it for pr oblems to iron them out. The telephone is still the simplest and quickest even my surgery said the easiest route for me is phone as I have arthritic hands. AS my freinds say just keep😅smiling Thanks for reply.

I think they need to simplify the system before I join Katie, but thanks for the info x

I've tried Swiftqueue three times. The first 2 times it didn't work at all and I had to telephone in the traditional way. The last time success!-it was magic.

Yes its like magic when it works well and its password protected but for me its not the easiest way and for many other older people, as remembering passwords is harder than phone numbers if you want to be safe. Thank you for your reply .

Yes like the idea of it but can't get my head round setting it up. I'm lucky as my local chemist (bus stops right outside the chemist and the bus my end is only 5 or 6 steps away from my door) will put my paper prescriptions on line directly to the GPs surgery for me😊. xxx
