I hope you are all doing well. I just thought I would update you all on travelling with oxygen.
We have just enjoyed a 5 night break in Geneva Switzerland. I was worried sick about travelling with oxygen as I had never done it before. I've got to say that Easy Jet were brilliant I didn't have any problems I was asked a few questions about my oxygen. They never asked to see my doctors letter or fitness to fly letter either in the UK or in Geneva. The flights were good both ways.
One thing I didn't consider was how heavy it would be to carry a small concentrator an extra battery and charging cables - I couldn't lift the bag so my husband carried it all day every day I felt really sorry for him as the heat was unbearable at times. If would have been so much easier if I had gotten something to wheel around - not sure if that is possible but I'm going to look into it for the next time around.
I can recommend Geneva for a holiday - it is so clean and the public transport is great.

Hi lvd29 You can buy a trolley for several types of concentrator from Intermedical Homecare. Their website is portableoxygen.co.uk The trolleys cost about £130. You need to use the word 'cart' to search for them.
You're very welcome. It took me a while to track down my own trolley/cart so I am happy to share what I learnt. I'm also pleased to hear that you managed to do your trip to Geneva.
I’m so pleased you could enjoy a holiday abroad can I ask which insurance company did you go with as I’m finding it very difficult to find one? I have asthma and copd with also long COVID I was quoted over £2000 for a year cover? Hope you are looking forward to your next holiday.
Hi there, buy yourself a walker with a basket, I carry my small oxygen-concentrator in it when I go shopping as it is too heavy to carry on my shoulder, they fold up to take on a plane you can buy a second hand one for around £25 on Marketplace.
