Oh my goodness there is places here I have never been but need to start going further afield ... The dogs I walk just plod and play around me but I'm more than sure they know every footprint of where we have been 😍

I climbed to the highest peak which takes about 45 mins for me ... Sat down with a picnic and just watched with Sadie 😍 The area is called Ipley crossroads 😍

Just read up a bit on Ipley crossroads - rather infamous for accidents until they reconfigured it. Your photo is awesome!

Thank you ... that road configuration was and is an absolute nightmare and a shambles... It went on for 2 years ...at one point they laid the wrong bitumen for the the forest roads ... the wrong bitumen was eating into the grass verges which was spreading daily ..there was a toxin in it that lead to the death of the grass which is not great for livestock as they eat and graze on the verges ...

So it had to be scraped up inch by inch and the verges were left to recover the crossroads was shut for the longest time ... locals yep me included were disgusted by the way they left it..

After 6 weeks of the toxic bitumen being lifted they arrived back with big machines and new bitumen...

It's all been laid out as promised but every other week you see the contractors taking samples of where the old bitumen was laid...rumour has it it's still spreading into the verges as it wasn't lifted correctly to begin with ...xx

The accidents were mainly people that didn't live around here and were taking advantage of the back roads late at night

Very sadly 2 were killed in the last 20 years xx

Good grief! I read about the accidents but not fiasco with the bitumen! Rumors probably have it right if it's still being monitored. Lousy for the grazers.

It was a total fiasco and still is I drive across through it 4 or 5 times a day cars still hit the verges and drive across them ... 😂
