for a pre winter information giving session? You are always so incredibly helpful.

Our local service is thinking of offering a pre winter information drop in day and have asked me what I think it might be helpful for respiratory patients to know before winter sets in ! This is designed to help us manage better through the winter. Brrrrrrr.

if you fancy helping me out then please just reply with the number next to the type of information being offered. Eg 1 for Vaccinators of Flu, Covid and RSV. Eg 9 for Smoking Cessation and Nutrition. Send as many numbers as you like Do add in any other support you feel would be helpful.

Then I can collate the numbers easily. It will fascinating to hear what you all feel would be right for you.

1.Vaccinators of Flu, COVID and RSV

2.Education information from Primary Care

3. Exercise from the community exercise teams and list of local groups, dates and times

4. PR and other support

5. FeNO and Spiro testing

6.Meds reviews

7.Peer and Voluntary sector support – Breath In Sing Out ( they could do some singing maybe!)

8.Housing, energy bills and benefits support – Community Wellbeing Teams

9.Smoking cessation and nutrition - Healthy Lifestyles Team

10.Mental health?

11.Cultural and language supporters

12.Social Prescribers /Know your Patch representatives

13.Digital support – to help people get on line to find relevant information, use practice websites and on-line prescriptions services etc

Thank you,

Pauline

Good luck with all the collation.

Members of our PPG support patients with information as they attend the Saturday flu innoculation clinic. We also get a chance to buy cakes from the surgery's charity fund raising stall.

Thank you, interesting responses from everyone. Yes in the PPG here we support the vaccination clinics too. we are hoping to offer advice pre vaccination during this proposed information day.

1, 5, 3, 6, 4. Also, is there any way you could advocate for a Covid jab for a non-lung disease partner who is not old enough to qualify for a booster? I think it makes sense for them to be protected to a degree to help protect us and others. Thank you!

T hey all sound so useful. I wouldn't know where to start. Obviously one person will find some advice most useful, another person a different piece of advice . I hope you get the funding.
