I'm very interested on everyone's reply as I'm on Fostair 100/6 and I take 6 puffs, so two puffs roughly every 8 hours as I only get 380 on my peak flow

Has taking 6 puffs been approved for you

It's definitely removed the weezing and it's helped with my running, I haven't taken a peak flow as I only do so when I visit the asthma nurse, but I it does feel much better

Sorry I can't help you from experience, Edam. Try using the search box to look for previous posts about Fostair strengths and how best to use. There was one quite recently if I remember aright.

All the best.

I am on 200/6 and its two puffs twice a day, this is a powder inhaler which i am not keen on and have cut it down to one puff as I don't feel that I need the two . I have recently tried Relvar but that doesnt give the relief I need and i seem to have a congested chest when on this , so have gone back to Fostair for the moment x

I'm om Fostair 100/6 MDI (the spray type). My prescription is two puffs am and pm plus up to four more puffs throughout the day if I need them - that's what its made for, the daily dose plus more up to 8 puffs per day in total. It's called the MART regime (Maintenance And Reliever Therapy). I also use a spacer which also means I get the best of the medication. If you're on the same MDI you can take up to 8 puffs per day.

I hope I never have to go up to the 200 because it would thin my skin too much.

So, is your inhaler MDI or is it the powder? If MDI then read the leaflet thoroughly and look up MART

I take fostairnexthaler 2 puffs 2x daily apart 12 hours apart. I was told I could take more puffs according to the MART regime so maybe you need an extra 2 puffs but I think you need to see a practitioner to discuss this x

That would be about right as the formoterol in fostair is an *up to* 12 hours medication... so 10-12 would be about right.

The formoterol in the fostair 200 is the same strength... its just the beclomethasone is twice as strong
