I joined this forum just a couple of days ago and I just want to say how much I appreciate the responses and helpful information people have given me already. A lady from the Long Covid team sent me the link after I complained I couldn’t find a bronchiectasis group anywhere. It’s been a bit daunting being diagnosed with a condition I had never heard of and knew nothing about. So thanks for all your invaluable support.

Hi and welcome to this friendly, supportive and fun group. 😊xxx
Hi Seagullcity. Welcome to the group. Bronchiectasis is a pain in the butt to live with but we just get on with it. Some of us have had it since childhood: I was diagnosed at 5 years old after Whooping Cough. Docs said they’d not seen it so bad in one so young. I count my blessings - I’ll be 75 next birthday 🤗 Take care and best wishes, Diane.
Hi Diane, thanks for your encouraging message. It must have been very challenging for you to have had this condition since being a young child. I guess you must have had some good medical care and support. It’s still a learning curve for me and I’m finding it difficult and restrictive, having been healthy all my life until recently. But it is good to have other people to discuss things with.
