Sorry all I didn't respond yesterday, I was so exhausted last night. Slept in late this Morning. All that Screaming and Shouting for England, never Mind They Played very well, but it wasn't to be, Good Result for Croatia, Well Done to them.
My Results showed that all is Good. My Lung Test I was Dissapointed with, I was 30% 2 years ago,now I'm only 32.4 % Yes, gone up but I thought it would have improved more, maybe I expect too much as I have been Pushing Myself. The X Ray showed an Improvement at the Bottom of the Right Lung , a little more room there, That is Good. I will have to have a CT Scan for Amy to see them Clearly, Possibly in August, I see her again in September. I asked about Swimming....NO Way was her reply. I have been great with not having to have my Oxygen all the time, now I have to have 16 hours as Before ? I will carry on, as I feel 99% Good, I will not let Numbers hold me Back. My next Hospital visit is at The QE Transplant Hospital in August, Everything there is as Organised as you would expect, They give me Good Results... Well my Dear Friends, I broke off from this Message for an hour as My Pregnant Granddaughter called me on wassap and she looks Blooming Lovely as did my Beautiful Spanish G.Daughter, Amelia at 4 years of age , Boasting she is going to be a Big Sister , Hermana Grande. Wishing you all a Breathe easy Weekend. Lots of love, Abrazos , Amor y Besos. Carolina XXXXX

Querida Carolina. So you are to be a fish out of water, did the dear Amy explain why swimming is out of the question?i am glad that you are feeling good but you are obviously not to impressed with your figures, your figure looks fine to me says cheeky ski's and a 2% increase is just that an INCREASE when you consider that our lungs decline on an annual basis you have not declined but actually improved your lung capacity.glass definitely more than half full i would say.keep enjoying your new bling and your bigger lungs they look great.
Buenas Tardes Carino, Yes, back from Aldi and Pub Lunch. Yes, It Is an Increase, I was expecting too much probably. Amy said as I am still having Oxygen and I await Blood gas Levels to be Done, I should NOT go swimming, as she said if I struggle to Breathe I cannot take my Oxygen in the Water, makes sense. I think after Walking around the Hospital pushing my Wheelchair to find out my X.Ray hadn't been Booked in Advance, Then Hubby pushing me Back, The Mixture of being a little upset , and the Heat in there was immense, No fans going, Hence I knew straight away at the Spiritory Room I wasn't that capable of Blowing as Hard as I could have. which the lovely Georgia acknowledged. So I came away a Little miffed, but I Know I am so much Better after the valves. I would have more if I could, maybe in the Future. ( Lungs Would be Better). Manana, I go to the Gym, as I missed my Wednesday Session. Well my Dear Friend hasta Luego, Love n Hugs , besitos a Ti y Scruffita. XXXXX
If i still had my scuba gear carino i would loan it to you,you could just swap the compressed air for o2 and the tank weighs nothing in water, see these consultants just can't think outside of their bubble lol ,still you can get plenty of exercise on dry land and even more excuses for a pub lunch afterwards
you and pete of for a dirty weekend,i don't know this site is going downhill fast.enjoy your weekend you two little devils............love ski's and scruffs x
Good afternoon, and like you stated, dont worry about the numbers but skischool is correct -as we age,so do our lungs and ours are already damaged. You've made progress which is the best news to read! Gentle exercise,no swimming for the present time anyway. Now rest up and revitalise!
Thank you so much for your encouraging kind words. Love n Hugs xxxxx
Hola chica 😚
Yes you may have been expecting too much too soon..Listen to your body and take time Carolina..
Well swimming takes a lot out of you when you have lung problems and you are still convalescing.
I realise it at the moment as the respi physio told me to do a max of 20mn a day, head out, so no water going in my airways. That’s important because you don’t know how clean it is..
I have to really pace my breathing to keep going, inhaling properly filling up tummy and chest then exhaling blowing the candle as well as coordinating my breaststroke. I am exhausted at the end, it is shower, quick lunch and siesta!
So a little leisurely walk during the cooler times of day would be a reasonable start.
Hola Fran, Y Gracias. Yes, I realize I was running instead of walking. (can't run anyway). So, I will take things a bit slower and progress a bit slower. I haven't been swimming for many years, so, thought it would be a good rehab course, Now I know it won't happen for awhile at least.
I will carry on with my Exercise Class and The Gym I go to weekly. Yes, Breathing Exercises are a Must and will endeavour to do a lot more Daily. I hope your Mom is feeling Better and you Bea & Aria are together Soon, if not already. Take care Carino, abrazos Y Besitos. xxxxxxx
I'm sorry that you were a tad diasappointed. Let me just say though, any increase even small is cause for celebration! And it's how you feel, that's more important than what the numbers dictate. I think you are doing amazingly well and don't you dare think otherwise, even for a second. I am so, so proud of you. *Hugs* Enjoy your weekend.
Good Morning My Dear Cas, Thank you for your lovely Comments, Yes I realise How Lucky I am, I am Grateful and will get on with what I do Best. This Morning I'm off to the Gym, as I missed it on my normal day Wednesday. I suppose I was expecting too much. Onwards & Upwards from now on. Love n Big Hugs my Dear. XXXXXXX
Buenos Dias Carolina, que tal? I'm in the same camp as everyone else...forget the numbers, you feel 99% good then that's great and worth the procedure. Give your lungs and yourself time to settle and I'm sure it will improve. You've been amazing at how you've coped with it all and recovered so well, so no te preocupes, be happy! Oh and do as they say for now I guess 😉😊.
Good luck to your beautiful granddaughter, it is such a special time to be pregnant, I hope she is trying to enjoy every minute. It's the only time my lungs ever felt well😆. I wish her the best.
Muy Buenas Dias mi Amiga Anne, Gracias. Yes, After my "Moan" I do realise how Lucky I am, and I am forever Grateful for my Valves, it was just a Hicup. Off to the Gym, this Morning. later a walk around Asda. Muchisimo Amor, Abrazoa y Besitos Tambien, Muy Buena Final Semana. have a Great Weekend with your Munchkins. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Hello, I know it’s disappointing when you expect more, but at least it’s an improvement, no
matter how small. Just make sure you take care of yourself and don’t overdo it and I’m sure you’ll see more of an improvement in the long run. Mucho best wishes. X
I agree with Fran - its still very soon after the valves and the conditions for your breathing test weren't great. However, even a small improvement should be celebrated. I'm sure you'll feel better after your appointment at the QE Transplant hospital next month. Dont let figures/statistics stop you feeling good Carolina; you're still doing great x
