I was prescribed Trelogy by an Asthma nurse, but taken off it when I saw a pulmonary physiotherapist. Apparently it is wrong for people with bronchiectasis. I know some people on this site (not broncs) find it very useful.

we are all different when it comes to inhalers. I was on Trelegy for a while but couldn’t get on with it. For me I think I have a problem with powdered inhalers. Hope you find something that does suit you. Speak to your Doctor or respiratory nurse.

TRELEGY is the first and only once-daily triple therapy in a single inhaler for asthma and COPD. This means that 3 medicines work together to help you breathe better by preventing and controlling asthma symptoms for a full 24 hours, all day and all night. TRELEGY also helps improve lung function.

hi - I had Trelegy inhaler for newly diagnosed bronchiectasis and gave up with it after a month as it seemed to make no difference … turned out I had an infection that hadn’t cleared after first course of antibiotics. Now on another course that has improved things drastically. Still wheezing a little but much better overall . I get the impression that many Bronchiectasis patients are given inhalers that are not designed for them … sadly it’s a complicated and under researched condition but things are improving, according to to Bronchiectasis webinar I recently attended (regarding actual treatment, at which time there is none!)

Are you still taking the Trelegy as you mentioned an improvement in your breathing but wasn’t sure if it was a result of the infection clearing up or the Trelegy?

No - I stopped taking Trelegy as it didn’t improve anything after approx 6 weeks . My breathing is still not good but coughing and sputum vastly improved due to antibiotics (7th course since Jan)

I’m glad you are seeing some improvement in your breathing and hopefully it will continue.
