Beautiful I could look at that view all day. Thank you for sharing your lovely views. π
Thankyou π
I think I need to move to the countryside π
Oh we have our cities and towns around the New Forest area .. I'm glad I live where I am though π₯°
I did and never regretted the move, a different world, I was a townie until 6 years ago.
I have always lived in London. I hate the city now, itβs too built up and everyone is in a rush. The pollution doesnβt help the lungs either. Hopefully in a few years we will move.
You won't forget it - I was wary at first, but even the healthcare is better in village. I used to work in Croydon many years ago.
Iβve heard of Croydon never been there though. Iam an East end girl.
I quite liked Surry, maybe because of the Oval
Your a cricket fan Ernπ
Yea - sure am. I remember in the old days - There was giant gas holders next to the Oval.
I think they are still there
I googled it they are now listed buildings grade 11
I live in a village and although I don't have the views Blackbird has (the beach is only a 30 min walk away but I can't manage that now!) but I've only to walk out for 5 or 10 mins and everyone smiles and says hello and some stop for a chat, which is lovely. When I go for hospital appointments I forget and smile at everyone I pass but I think they think I'm off my trolley because that doesn't happen in towns. I'm learning not to do it now. π . Hope eventually you're able to move π€xxx
Please donβt stop saying hello, who cares what they think. it doesnβt cost nothing for people to say hello or good morning. If I go to Cornwall for holiday, people are very pleasant. London is a different place now as I said to Ern everybody is in a rush to get somewhere.
Must be nice to live near a beach - I would drive there in the car - Coastal Towns/Villages so close to the sea, means you can grow more tender plants, a lot more than we can in the NW. We always chose beach resorts wen we went abroad, even now confined to UK Mainland - We book hotels outside of Blackpool ,xx
Never stop saying hello in my previous career as theatre lead nurse in the largest UK teaching hospital...I encountered a surgeon from a far away place who though pleasant enough could be a little arrogant and never say good morning to anyone...
I made it my mission to pop my face up everywhere he was on a daily basis to say in a shrill Gooooodd morning ..this went on for a few weeks and then he approached me one morning to ask why I did it as he thought I was quite odd ...
I explained to him that manners cost nothing and when ppl say hi good morning...
to him he should reply with manners that they have shown him ...
He exclaimed he was far far to busy to be bothered with pleasantries...
So standing at the operating table with him doing a long procedure I never spoke to him once I ignored his asking for certain things as I already had them to hand ......
After a 5 hour long operation he appeared in front of me and shrilled in his loudest squeakiest voice Goooodddd morninggggg and then said ...I have learned my lesson today..
After that there was never a morning where he didn't smile wave or say good morning to my staff ...
People sometimes need to be jolted into the real world and today they hold their heads and say nothing sadly...
You hold your head up and shout and smile somone will see and hear you and smile back knowing you shared a moment of being pleasant π
Yes I have done that in the village I live in. A person I often used to pass on my walks always walked round with his head down, I persevered and said hello every time we passed. Eventually he opened up and smiled. Now we even stop for a chat. He has an allotment near by and chats about that. Guess he was just a bit shy xxx
I have said it before - Stunning like the rest of you photo's. Reflections are always special.
Gosh- what a wonderful tree and a lovely blue sky. Just what we need at the moment. Thank you for posting. xxxx
