Hi there, just wondered if anyone on here can tell me if ‘Influenza A H3’ is ‘swine flu’ ?

(I have researched, but still unsure of the answer)

Thank you in advance 🙏🏼☺️

Hi CandiR. I think swine flu is an H1N1 virus.

Hi CandiR Swine flu is the H1N1.

I had a quick search and found this:

How long does influenza A h3 last?

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) , an uncomplicated influenza infection will last from three to seven days in most people, including children. However, a cough and feelings of weakness or fatigue can last for two weeks or longer.

Hope that helps

Thats really kind of you thanks so much Troilus!

I ask because my son was hospitalised with this a while ago (he was 6) was really poorly and has had issues since, so I just thought I wonder if this was actually Swine flu! But obviously not! …..thank you once again , much appreciated ☺️
