My asthma has been playing up alot just lately regardless of what I do I'm glad to be on my new inhaler and I know it's not a miracle cure but the same time every night I get super blocked nose and croaky throat and a cough? It's weird and really annoying.Anyone else affected like this?

I do have mould and damp in my flat but it's being sorted I just don't know when there gona come and sort it out?? πŸ€”

I'm certain the mould is affecting my asthma?? It's strange cause it's been here for a couple years why would it start affecting me now?? πŸ€”πŸ˜•

Does this happen after you have gone to bed. If so, my reaction would be to super clean your bedroom, wash all your sheets etc at 60 and change your pillows and duvet.

We are all different, but most of my symptoms are linked to a cause, so I go looking for a cause. I was having trouble with my asthma in the kitchen recently, simply putting all our bread making flour in a sealed container solved the issue. So go and find a cause.

My asthma hates mould, two years ago I had no problem with mould.

I had the same symptoms for three weeks and then they just went away,i am still semi shielding and have never had any mold.Must have been a virus i managed to catch during my brief visit to the quiet local shop..Hope yours goes away soon, the worst part for me was not sleeping due to the coughing all night..

Since moving into our present abode in August 2013, I had loads of chest infections, kept a diary in 2017 and recorded 18 chest infections that year: that's pretty well continuously infected. In April 2018 mould was discovered covering a large part of our bathroom floor. The floor was replaced, eradicating the mould. Since then I've had no chest infections, other than a stint in hospital with pneumonia and pleurisy in Nov 2019. Also, yesterday I stocked up with an antihystamine, ready for start of the hayfever season. This starts in February with hazel flowering for me. Mould spores outside start end of July and go on into October. I suspect global warming may be extending these periods.

If you are living with mould and you have asthma, it maybe worth asking pharmacy which antihistamine will help.

Perhaps it's a combination of mould and the relentlessly nasty weather we've had this winter. Can you ask your landlord to hurry things up -it might not do a lot of good, but at least it puts you on their radar. Hope you get some satisfaction soon. xxx
