better sleep after using fostair

As I have problems with the side effects of Fostair I use it about 5-6 AM and then go back to sleep.

But I am starting to notice that I sleep so much better after the 2 puffs.

Last night I had hardly any sleep mainly because of worries but after using the inhaler I slept for the next 4 hours and woke up late.

Is it the Fostair sedating me or is it fixing something?

Hi Edam,

I'm not sure, but whenever I have had to take steroids, I have wonderful sleeps - contrary to other people. I asked my doctor why, last year, but she said she didn't know. Maybe it is because they are relaxing our airways.

I wake very early on steroids, have my trimbow but can easily get back to sleep for a few hours of quality sleep if needed. The prednisolone usually kicks in at the end of day 2 and things get better. If I don`t go back to sleep I can easily grab an hour on the couch in the afternoon when my chest eases that bit. Enjoy the good days.

Steroids also make me sleep better too. I think it's suggestive of adrenal malfunction or that chronic stress is interfering with sleep (because cortisol counteracts adrenaline).

I would say it’s because your breathing is better after.

I think the same. I will start using the Fostair just before I go to bed but I cant take it during the day because of side effects

I don’t get any side effects.
