Smart asthma app?

I have had astma for over 20 years and been suffering with a chronic cough since last September and it has become much worse over the last couple of weeks. Despite different meds, nothing seems to be working and I am awaiting blood test results for Allergies. I have just seen that there is a smart asthma app that you can subscribe to and wondered if anyone on here has experience of using it? Or if anyone can suggest any herbal remedies for helping relieve the symptoms of this cough? Thanks in advance.

not sure from what you have said Charliebubbles whether you have seen a GP and what they have tried with you. If you started a cough following a bug, it seems there have been a lot of bugs around at the mo that leave you with a cough for weeks after. Did you talk to a pharmacist as they are usually very helpful with suggestions. Hope it clears up soon.

A cough can be caused by numerous things, infections bacterial, viral, fungal, allergy, ideally you need to identify the cause so you can get the right treatments. Getting a sputum sample tested would be a good starting point, my persistent cough of several years turned out to be an allergic reaction to stomach acid fumes. I have a hiatus hernia which was causing reflux and the fumes were aggravating my lungs, Gaviscon initially stopped the coughing and now I am on Omeprazole and the cough has almost gone.

Good morning charliebubbles13. There is a headcold and cough going around and the cough has been described as the 100 day cough. I know I had it for most of December and almost all of January but it's almost gone now. Hope you get rid of it soon. Brian
