I regret in someway to ask this but why do people insist on asking the same questions where there are hundreds of replies on the site. One day, as an example there were 3 separate questions on trimbow, and LVR yet this site has an extensive back log where you just have to click in a word

Some don’t realise what they can do on the forum so it’s nice to have others to point them in the right direction. Thank you for your post. X

I agree with sassy. Also, when someone is confused and worried it is nice to have a personal reply from someone who goes through it and knows what it feels like.

This is a forum for questions/queries about lung health, often from anxious and worried people. They'll write their question without necessarily looking at previous posts, many don't realise there's a whole archive of information to be had by using the search box

I am an administrator for another Community on healthunlocked. Most members that are new admit they have to find out how to navigate the forum. Most post their question first then look later. Its always good to have a few answers as we can all be different with different or the same medications.

I think when people are anxious or worried they feel a quick question will be helpful and reassuring. One reply can help ease their anxiety or set them in the right direction. If the members are new they have not found their way round the site. Personally if someone is asking a question that has been asked before a simple answer only takes 2 minutes to reply to.

Thank you Will57, some newbies may not know how to use the site. Thank you to those who have replied to your question hope this makes it clearer for all. Of course some may want to just chat on the forum and if its a medical question it may need to go to their own Gp as we can only speak of how it effected us and everyone is different . Most of us on here try our best to help if we have been through a similar situation, that is not quite the same as giving advice its sharing experiences with support and empathy. Enjoy the rest of your day .

Hi Will 🙋‍♀️, this is a brilliant forum full of kind helpful people. When I first joined I had to work my way round how the site worked as I'd never been on a forum before. Even now I like to ask questions rather than look. I feel people aren't obliged to answer if they don't want to and it's good to chat as I don't see many people.🙂. Take care xxx

Surely it's no coincidence that there are several posts to do with the same topic, e.g. trimbow, at the same time. A new member seeing a post on something they also have a query about is likely to be given the confidence to ask their own question by seeing someone else post about it. That's the way it works and it's a good system!

No body I am sure " not everyone insist on asking the same questions" - People ask the same questions true, but can be for different reasons, Trimbow for example, people might have the same thread-start but can have different reasons for posting, eg side effects, not working, and had their other changed,

Same with illness problems -

Someone can come on here feeling ill and scared - he/she is not really interested in another persons thread, they need to start their own.

That's how I see one reason to answer your question Will57, sorry could not be more help.
