copd getting along

diagnosed with copd 5 years ago and as is usual getting steadily worse. Had a bonus 4 years ago as I was diagnosed with lung cancer, bought a jag, told a few friends and some family but not my daughter. 4 months later the consultant told me it wasn`t lung cancer! I`ve got damaged nodules and had the usual broncoscopy, scrape, took a sample, and did a wash etc. I`ve got pseodomonas so now on long term azithromycin, game changer in that it`s all a bit easier to manage now.

It seems as if you’re coping well now after your misdiagnosis of lung cancer. Pseudomonas isn’t great but you can get through it hopefully. Wishing you well xxxx

As result of condition was born with I get regular lung infections. I’m on daily azithromycin but it doesn’t always stop me having other infections such as pseudomonas. Then I have to take other antibiotics which I have in reserve, such as Septrin and Ciprofloxacin, and if that doesn’t work then have to have I V usually at home by special nurses. Hope your use of azithromycin works well for long time, best regards, Jean

had the Jag nearly 4 years ago but had to get rid as there`s only so much you can weld, replaced with a nice car but I can feel another Jag coming along.....

Welcome. I'm glad about the misdiagnosis, but sorry your jag has gone. I'm all in favour of mechanically minded gents keeping these wonderful machines going. Too large and too powerful for a small lady like me, but I love them. Wish the pseudomonas was as easy to manage.

I`m lucky I have friends with the skills to repair cars cheaply. I loved the jag so I`ll be looking for another that isn`t rusted underneath, that`s the usual problem. Never a problem getting admirers although I am sadly still single 😏
