Love the colours Ern but hope that kitten doesn’t knock a vase over. Thank you xxx❤️
I love it! Thank you for sharing. The kitten looks like it’s considering batting at the fallen petals with its paw 🐈⬛
I luv this Ern.promises of spring..and that cute little kitten 🥰
The kitten is lovely, just thinking about pouncing on those petals, love the colours of the hydrangeas too. Thanks for sharing.
A Really cute kitten cute eyes and whiskers 🥰 BERNARDINE
Love it Ern! You have a particular talent for painting hydrangeas- not the easiest of subjects! I do like the kitten very much, too, particularly his “ who me??” expression. My own little black kitten used to look like that after she’d created mayhem somewhere😀
That’s a lovely painting. I love flowers and cats.
Love the flowers. The kitten looks surprised to be there.
Two of my favourite things. Garden flowers and a cat. x
Likewise Dottie11 - Both give lots of pleasure, x
My Nan had them in her garden. I was very big in the end with that same blue colour.
I prefer same colours in plants like Hydrangeas and Geraniums ect, yet I worked most of my life with 2 tone Fuchsias. Anne like the big white Hydrangeas , seems to have a tint of green.
Fuchsias are really lovely. I have mainly shrubs and trees now. Wonderful to see them appear and then the Bees, Ladybirds, and Butterflies descend on their chosen ones. Could have done without the two Wasp nests in the attic last year. The Lavender shrub has been relocated as too near to the house. An old haunt of theirs. Their nest was fascinating. Swirls of light and dark brown and then some blue. All the colours of fencing paint in our gardens. I cannot paint or draw but a great gift.
I like the Hardy Fuchsias - Brilliant is medium flowers seems to glow at dusk. Prosperity red and White medium double flowers and the pink Garden News - All hardy and many more. I have them in baskets and tubs also. Not a large garden now so have to make good use of the space we have, We had a wasp nest before we moved, I was very wary. Ladybirds and Butterflies, who could resist.
We have a lovely chap who came and removed the last nest. He explained all the patterns and colours we could see . The roof also had some work done and hoping that may help too. A Fuchsia that glows in the dark. I will have a look at that. They smell wonderful too. Yes we need a smaller garden at some point.
The nests are fantastic. It's the occupants.
Fuchsia Brilliant is so called because t seems to be more visible at dusk that the other fuchsias. below is a pic.
Ah yes now I recall. I first saw one of these at my schoolfriend house. Her parents had a huge bush in the front garden. We used to be told off for popping them. Seen many since of course.
There are two one is "fuchsia magellanica 'riccartonii" that is a very large bush, will almost grow into a tree, Brilliant is off that family of hardy fuchsia, but larger blooms. I have the very large one in my front garden, spectacular with size, then a Bamboo and a Japanese Acer - Really takes somespace. ha ha, I used to be one who popped the buds.
Ah another bud popper. Perhaps children did in those days.
Yes I though there was a tree type too. I think you have much better knowledge than me. Acer is really fantastic looking. I have had Bamboo in other gardens. Now I have one in a pot. It was left behind by previous owners and looked sad and struggling. It has enjoyed bigger pots and some care. I did not put into this garden in case spread. We planted a liquid amber tree in this garden some years ago.
"Liquid amber tree" - I have never had one, no room. I love the colour. Bamboo I have the spreading type in my garden so I have to be aware of runners. Thing is, I like the spreading type much more than the clump formers.
I wish you luck with your Bamboo it a pot, being a type of grass, it could take off, depends how fare gone.
The flowers are so eye catching I had to look twice to see the kitten. (Due to see optician soon.) Love your hydrangeas. xxxx
Beautiful Ern I love all of it the flowers remind me of warmer months ahead and the little kitten is so cute
Wendy xx
Ah cute kitten Ern, he looks ready to play with the flowers! 😊xxx
lovely picture. Cats and Hydrangeas don’t mix though according to the toxic plants to cats. No idea tbf I’ve had both for years
Thank you. You are right, i don't grow them, my wife does in front garden. where our cat's don't go. All parts contain "cyanogenic glycoside. " so I would handle with care, My painting is out of my head, so no dangers there, as far as I know
Gorgeous picture nice kitty kat brilliant thanks for sharing
