pip waiting time

they wrote to me 10 days ago saying although my pip runs out around 15 th December they will pay me on the 28th for this month and every month till they have made their decisioalso they reminded me I might have a phone interview or face to face they haven't decided.my son keeps telling me not to worry. I did speak to citizens advice about a month ago they said they have a long back log and this wait can be normal

I'm worried as I've lost the letter confirming they are opening me onthe28th off

Hi have just sent in my PIP renewal form. On ringing them the lady stated she could not tell me when it would be looked at. I have an award until June 24 but she said given the huge backlog of renewals and the record numbers of new claims I could be waiting a year or more! However I would still be paid until the decision was made. On a benefit site which I am a member of this long wait appears to be increasingly normal. Your family are right try not to worry.

It sounds as if your son is right. It's good that they continue to pay you. so try not to worry. xxx
