After a home visit I was awarded PIP two and a half years ago. Last September the DWP sent me the forms to renew my application. I filled them in and sent them off.
I got another letter saying if you don't reapply we will stop PIP... I telephoned to confirm they had my forms. Yes. That was the beginning of October. January this year I had a text saying we have your forms and are dealing with your claim.
Today 28th February 2019, I got a text asking me to attend an assessment a long way from home. I rang and said impossible, they offered slightly nearer but still a long journey.
Now I'm waiting again to see if they will allow me a home visit.
5 months down and getting angry.
I hope you are all getting better treatment than that.

Try not to get angry. It seems the government have devised all the systems to get people to give up or stress themselves in to an early grave. I was listening to to radio 4 Tuesday night on the difficulties of claiming if you're blameless victim of a crime, horrendous.
Wishing you luck, I've no experience of pip but I know many others have. P xx
Thank you. Putting my anger in perspective. It's wicked to treat victims of crime so badly. I'm feeling calmer this evening. I'll just have to be patient for a bit longer x
ooo I didn't mean to belittle your pip claim wheezy, not at all. It's just horrendous and sad what people have to go through for a bit of well deserved asistance. X
Oh! I didn't read your comment as a put down. I just read it and thought, yes, there are other people out there with terrible problems. Possibly far worse than mine. I really didn't take offence at what you wrote. xxx
Stick to your guns. Where I live there are two centres. I refused the first as in an emergency I would have not been able to use the stairs. They then sent me to a centre which was ground floor and a good distance nearer.
