I took mine to Spain which I think has the same electricity as France. I just needed a travel plug adapter. The same as for a hairdryer.I hope that helps. By the way, if you speak to your airline you can get extra cabin baggage to carry your meds.

can you use the portable one for colomycin do you know? I usually am on the machine 10-15 minutes and nurse just replied to my enquiry that she isn't sure a portable unit would work for me. just hate having to carry around the big heavy machine if i can avoid it.

Hi there,

I recall not being able to take NHS equipment out of the country and if you do and there is a problem with it then you won’t have the support to fix it ?

Rental with cover outside of the UK might be your best bet ?

Enjoy your travels.

Go well.

Elenor Digby posted this sometime ago. Apparently Phillips will lend you one of these.

The problem with most travel nebulisers is that they aren’t powerful enough for colomycin.

Most NHS nebulisers are rather large and heavy. I did damage one once and was expecting a bill but it didn’t come. Enjoy your holiday.

I've taken mine, abroad to Switzerland France and Spain, just carried it through separately and got a letter from my Dr to allow it as a necessity on board the flight, you see a lot of people who carry cpaps for sleep apnea, never been stopped by customs.
