I had my flu and covid jabs today .. Went around 9.30 this morning then took Sadie for the longest walk ... It was lovley towards the end of walk I was starting to shiver with cold .. Its not cold at all I'm still wearing shorts...
I'm now on the couch wrapped in a blanket with my dressing gown on feeling the effects of the brick wall I seem to have hit .... Never had a reaction before same stuff as before not enjoying this experience at all ... Oh just ignore me I'm being pathetic 🩷🩷

Oh, poor you 🥶😒 it could be because you had both jabs at the same time. It's not like you to be on the couch, you always seem to be out and about, walking the dogs and taking your beautiful photos. Keep warm and hydrated and rest. I'm sure it will pass in a day or 2. Is Sadie a cuddly dog, will she sit and keep you warm?
Hi Jackie and Jaspberry...I have always had them together never been a problem beforehand...
My hubby was fine until about an hour ago ... He's off to walk Sadie just for a quick one ....
Sadies only just started being allowed on the couch she's a bit of a fidget and thinks it's ok to sit on me ... which it's not ... she's pretty much kicked off when she starts that monkey business 😂
I hope you and yours are well and have been enjoying this warm spell which seems to be coming to and end sadly 🩷🩷
Ahh hun sorry to hear you feel poorly with your jabs, I was meant to have mine today the covid one but I haven't been feeling well so I re booked it for Monday x hope your feeling better soon.
stay wrapped up, dosed up and chill It seems a normal reaction to these jabs this season. Plenty of fluids n rest, paracetamol and any worsening symptoms then 111/out of hours. Take care. We’re here 24/7. Take care 🦊x
Ahhh sorry to hear you are still feeling rough. Fingers crossed you will be feeling better later today. If got to book mine soon, I keeping it off but I know I need to have it. Take care xxx
Thanks Ern ..I'm not feeling great at all ... Yesterday evening was feeling a bit better buy today jeez oh ...I have cancelled having my grandchildren 🥺
I had the vaccines on diferent days but felt rough after the covid vaccine. Non of the other boosters have bothered me. Good thing was it only lasted 12 hours.
I had my Covid jab on Friday and was told that it was different this Autumn, when I looked at the sheet it definitely has different ingredients so that could explain your reaction. The nurse called it an all singing and dancing jab.
That's not nice to hear and I hope you feel better soon, as a matter of interest what covid vaccine did they give you? I am due both on Friday with the flu as well, last September I had moderna bivalent vaccine booster and I had a very bad painful arm for 8 weeks so I am hoping for a different vaccine this time.
Had my Covid jab yesterday too (had flu one a couple weeks ago). I spend two hours feeling like a block of ice, then my throat hurt for an hour, but I went to a walk in clinic. Never again, two and a half hours of queuing, felt knackered so when I came home didn't do anything for the rest of the day. I was told this was a new Pfizer one. So far, just a sore arm and feeling tired today. 😊
Sorry to hear that Collie..I did a walk in clinic also was less than 10 minutes very quick to move ... I'm feeling much better today also ... Always had Pfizer same contents each year 🩷
Your not being pathetic, 2 people I know have been affected like that with the new covid jab as we didn't see either of them for a full week. Knocked them for six. Makes you wonder. Hope your feeling better soon chook 😉
I'm with you on this....we came back from hol Friday pm and 10.30 yesterday morning had both flu and covid. Was only expecting flu and I asked if it was wise to give me both as I'm immunosuppressed She said it was fine. Later yesterday I started aching shivering flu like symptoms, have had hardly any sleep and still feel like I have flu this morning. BUT I would never refuse these vaccines. So have to grin a bare it 😊
Feeling a whole lot better this morning after being in and out of bed until 2am thus morning. All aches have gone, just my arms hurt, which is nothing. I can get on with all my washing and ironing now 🤣
I’m the same Blackbird9. Had both yesterday and woke in the night with shivers, aching muscles, joints and head and pounding heart. Couldn’t sleep so feel off this morning. Hopefully it will pass quickly. My husband had both at the same time and feels absolutely fine! Keep warm and feel better soon.
That’s good. Yes lovely thanks. We saw the pigs yesterday, just outside Beaulieu. Had a lovely walk around HP and went to Butlers Hard. We also stopped and took some pics of the donkeys. Think we’re off to Lepe today. 💕
Glad to hear you're feeling a lot better this morning.
I love the photos you take on your walks so much, I'm using the shining tree one as my desktop background on my laptop. Thanks for giving us so much joy with these
I'm wondering whether this Buy one, get one free on the jabs is a good idea. I had to cancel mine a fortnight ago because of a chest infection and have decided not to have both together because so many of my acquaintances seem to be suffering this time round, having had no problems in the past.
Me too Tykelady. I am sure the flu vac gave me a chest infection. Still ongoing 2 weeks later. Covid jab? Not a hope in hell! I must say, I am going off the whole vaccination thing.
Good morning. I hope your feeling better today. There seems to be a few people having problems after having these latest jabs and I am due to have both of mine on Wednesday but having second thoughts about them at present. Take care. Brian
Oh poor you🤨 There seems to me to be no rhyme nor reason as to whether we get a reaction or not! I just had an achy arm for a day, much less reaction than I have had before!
I always got a reaction from the Covid shot, never to the flu shot but I got the flu and RSV in the same arm a few weeks ago and had chills, fever, headache, etc. I got the new Covid shot the other day and had a very mild reaction this time, just chills. I now make sure I have nothing going on for a few days after getting my shots because I know I just figure I will be spending time on the recliner.
That can be a problem. We are retired so we could go whenever a slot was available. We decided to stay with the Moderna and it was not readily available nor were there times available in many places that I checked. We ended up going a bit further than usual to get the shot.
Hope you and husband are both feeling a bit better now. I had the covid jab (Pfizer) on Wednesday. My arm swelled up in the evening, I couldn't sleep that night and felt absolutely shattered the next day. It was almost like having a mini covid attack. On Friday I felt much better, so it wasn't as bad for me as it was for you. There are some vicious bug killers in the vaccination they're using this year. xxxx
When I had mine,Dr said the covid jab was a pfzisor, mix of 2previous variants( not the current one).Hope it doesn't last more than 48hrs.get well soon.xx
Glad to hear you are getting better BB. I am on the up now after a couple of hard weeks. Saw the physio this morning and he is happy with my progress so all is well x
I think we react differently even though it’s the same type as before. I’ve had mine a few week apart. Pfizer was worse than flu jab. Had a really sore arm and a headache for a few days. Felt a bit off I think I’ve just had a reaction to the flu jab around 10 days later. Headache and pains in legs. Take care bb. Rest and keep warm. Have Sadie cuddles xx
Hope you're recovering from the side effects and feeling better. There seem to be a lot of folks with harsher reactions to the Covid vaccine this time. My doctor told me I should get the Covid, flu and rsv vaxes, but to space them each at least a week apart. I get the flu jab this week, but have some heart issues to address before another Covid shot. Hope you are up and about soon.
Up and running this morning ..The reactions are getting more common now and we still have a choice to have it or not ... I won't refuse it..Hope you get sorted with yours soon xxx🥰🥰
I’m sure it’s not just you. It’s a different nasty strain they are protecting us from. I’ve got mine on the 21st October. So next Saturday. I’m hoping having Covid the beginning of the year will help protect me. I’m not looking forward to it because a few have said they were quite ill with it. So you aren’t the only one.
I know there are a lot more reactions for a lot more people now its a very unpleasant feeling when it hits you like a truck ... I was walking up a hill when I suddenly felt quite bad just ad well it was the end of our walk 😂
I had Covid the beginning of the year and I was in bed for twelve days feeling really rotten. I’m wondering if I had the new one. If not goodness knows how I would be if I was even worse. I hate to think. I had shingles with it that didn’t help.
I had one like that. It was the day after my vaccination. I took my car in the garage for a service and MOT. I went out in the morning and by afternoon I felt really rough. I asked the garage to bring it back for me. They are always very helpful where I go. It was only the once I felt like that. I was ok again the next time. After having Covid at the beginning of the year my flu jab that usually makes my arm swell and hurt and my Covid jab I didn’t have any effects at all.
sorry to hear you were poorly. we are always told the flu is a dead virus so shouldnt affect us, but so many of my family and friends who have had the double combo were OFF afterwards. ALSO will say that all the ones who have had the recent covid jab well got covid.
My sisterinlaw who is diabetic has been really ill after the double jab, can barely walk, so now she was told by a medical staff; people shouldnt be having them together. They only do it to save time and money. so she advised me if i go fo them to have one, then have the otherone later. All i know is this covid jab is the new booster jab not the same as we had before, mine was omicron. Since i got covid in HOSPITAL after a heart issue (thank you staff) and i was dumped in a covid ward for 10 days of hell, I havent had another jab lol.
Just so you know the new covid it seems starts with a sore throat, cold symptoms, and the usual aches and pain, but less respiratory. sinus issue and some had loss of taste so basically a cold.
HAVE the jabs for sure, but perhaps be cautious and have one, rest then have the other one a week later perhaps. I have booked mine seperately. lol just in case, I am on the sofa enough already. xxx
I wish I had the time to have one at a time ..I run my own business dog walking and pet sitting... I absolutely adore it but I will keep having double whammy jabs .....I'm a retired scrub nurse from theatres.. so big change of jobs ...
Every Covid jab I’ve had except one I have the symptoms of chills then hot and feeling absolutely awful. It’s all starts 12-14 hours after the jab. I had single covid jab and the symptoms started as per normal, also makes me sleep walk (temperature) and say ridiculous things to my poor husband seemingly and I’m talking complete nonsense.
Even though I get these symptoms I try and rationalise that it’s worth it for the protection of Covid. I appreciate you can still get Covid but the symptoms are not as bad usually.
Hope you feel better soon, just try and put your feet up as much as you can until it all passes. Normally lasts 2 days with me and then goes as quickly as it came. Leaves me feeling a little tired for a day or so too. Fingers crossed you are soon going to be feeling brighter. Cuddle that beautiful dog of yours 😊 x
Ahhh thankyou I'm much better done my days work and having lots of love with my girl ...I get you in your reasoning that's it's all for the best to keep having it and I will ...with it being my first reaction ever and it happened when I was out walking it's scared me a tad 😅
Glad to hear you are getting back to normal. Perhaps next time you have a covid jab (just in case) go home as it’s horrible for you having a reaction when out. One if my dogs particularly seems to know when I’m not well and will sit with me and follow me everywhere just making sure I’m OK, but the cuddles help a bit I’m sure 🤨
You're not pathetic at all I would never have both jabs at once I've known alot off peaple very ill and one or two taken to hospital cause off it but I know it doesn't effect everyone but I'm frightened incase I'm unlucky I've had my flu and jab last week tamora havin covid one
I developed a chest infection immediately after the flu vaccination. Still very poorly two weeks later. Had to cancel Covid jab. GP advised me to pause MTX while on antibiotics and now choosing myself to keep off it altogether until I am well again. Must say I am going off the whole idea of vaccination.
