Luforbec counter

hi all, I know many of you, like me, have been swapped from fostair to Luforbec. I started using Luforbec for the first time this morning, but I’m confused by the counter indicator. I read instructions and duly did 3 sprays to prime device, as instructed. I then did my usual 2 dosage, well at least I think I did, counter indicator didn’t move so did a third spray, counter indicator now showing 120|1, does that mean I’ve had just one dose? Should the counter indicator count down like fostair does? I don’t know if I’ve had my usual 2 doses (or 3), I don’t understand what the indicator means. I rang my pharmacy, who were less than helpful, suggested if it does not move on tonight’s dose that I go in tomorrow, which would mean I would have missed several doses. Help please x

Sorry I can't help- my inhaler is simpler to use. It sounds as if increasingly we have to be rocket scientists to keep up with the modern world.

Thank you for replying. So it seems, might have helped if I had been informed by a human being of the change…..would of allowed me to ask questions

It would have been a courtesy. I get the impression our lives are being run by robots who ignore the common decencies of life. Someone should have explained how this new inhaler works.

Hi I’m on Lufoforbec and it does take a while to understand it. You just use it the same as Fostair and when you get to the end it will show 20 with red through it. It doesn’t move much so I’m sure you were getting the right dose.

I’ve tried several times to send a photo but it doesn’t seem to work. Anyway it’s got a red king through when you get to the end. Don’t wait for the counter to move because there’s lots of puffs between.

Thank you for your replies, very helpful. I expected the counter to count down as fostair does. Often I forget if I’ve had two doses, with fostair if it’s an odd number I know I need to take another puff 🥰 I shall need to develop an alternative prompt for Luforbec ☺️

Yup I’m with you on that. I sometimes think have I had one or two. I think it goes down in twenties but it takes quite a while to move because it is twenties.

Hi Yeo, I too rely on the counter on my Fostairs inhaler but when I'm using the Ventolin (no counter)I keep a five bar gate on a piece of paper and have to hope for the best! Not looking forward to being changed from Fostairs. I don't understand why the counter isn't the same 🙄 xxx

Yes, it is a pain but thanks to others replies I now know what to expect. Inconvenient though, I’m just trying to be more disciplined trying to not get side tracked when taking Luforbec ☺️
