PIP REVIEW

Hi,

I just had a telephone call telling me that I have a PIP assessment review tomorrow.

Quite worried, as I haven't had a letter.

Does anyone know how the review is carried out, by phone call?

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, the interview will be based on your application. If you have a copy of that have it to hand to refer to. Get sat on a comfy chair too. My last phone review lasted an hour. Good luck.

Are you being assessed by phone, if so you should have been given a time. As CDPO16 says can be lengthy - I would contact them if you have heard nothing by lunch.

Seems strange a phone call giving you so little notice. Be very wary if asked for things like bank details.

Be very careful about giving out your personal details and bank. If it is a review then have they got these already. If so say to them you read them out to me but whatever you do don't offer them unless you are absolutely sure that they are DWP.

Good luck for today. As others have said, be careful if they ask for bank details. You should have been given more warning about date and time. All the best.

I had a letter and a home visit. Nerve wracking and lasted about 2 hours. In saying that he was a very nice guy, the questions were on point but not too intrusive. I didn't think I did very well, but I received the assessment about 2 weeks later and they had actually increased my allowance! Good luck.

I would phone dwp and confirm you have this assessment. They usually give you notice and if they didn't you can say so and ask for it to be moved even on the day.

Thanks Inonge1, but if it is genuine, I'd rather get it over with. I've been waiting nearly a year.

Yes I completely understand, had same experience, waited over 18 months! But as already advised, just relax and have a copy of your form for reference. Best of luck 👍🏻

Not the same but when I had my assessment for ESA I was advised to say how I am on my worst days not my best. Good luck.

I had no notice for mine just a phone call out of the blue. I was just honest about how I was affected by my illness. The assessor did dwell a little on the fact I did yoga etc but struggled to manage stairs but I tried to explain it's to do with biomechanics and yoga etc is part of keeping healthy, or training for transplant as the physio at Harefield calls it. Good luck!
