I didnt know he had left the site myself Carole until i tried to message him and couldnt find him as a member. He gave me his address when I sent him some water bottles for Bod and hope he doesn't mind me passing it onto BB. I miss his posts and hope he is ok x

I have no idea why he left, I just hope he and Bod are ok. I dont want to intrude on his decision as i am sure if he wanted us to know he would have said. I am hoping he will re-join at some point x

Yes it is unfortunate and do hope he returns too. I just hope he didn’t leave because of something that may have been said or misunderstood or misinterpreted as seems to be the case at times.

Hi Blackbird, I’ve just seen your message asking for Charlie’s contact details. I didn’t know he’d left the forum. I’m sure he will be able to help you but, if he can’t I would be happy to oblige. I know I said I would paint Stan’s portrait a while ago but unfortunately my own health, plus Mum’s (who I look after) rather took over but things are more settled now and so I would love to do it for you. (Well, love isn’t the right word in the circumstances but you know what I mean) I’m attaching an example of what I do, I use pastels and go for photo- realism which I know isn’t everyone’s taste, of course. Just let me know if you’re interested and, as I say, if Charlie isn’t able to help.

I’ll be thinking of you this afternoon xx

That’s very kind Caspiana, thank you. It’s something I started doing as a stress-reliever when caring for my husband. I stopped for a few years after he died but am just starting to pick it up again now xx

I have had a lot of contact with him in the past. I haven’t been on here as much as I used to so wondered if I had missed his postings or replies. I hadn’t realised he had left the forum. I emailed him a few days ago. He hasn’t got back me. I know he has found life very demanding with his own health problems and Bod’s. So I was concerned about him.

If he gets back to me I shall ask him about a portrait of Stanley.
