I'm looking for a cough mixture called Covonia Original Bronchial Balsam which I have used every year to help loosen the phlegm in my lungs. This year I have not been able to find a pharmacy which has any in stock.
All tell me that they are not able to get any supplies at all.
Does anyone know why this is so.

I looked it up and found the names of other medicines that are said to have the same content/effcts.Brand names: Delsym 12-hour Cough. Robitussin Cough Long-Acting®. Triaminic Long-Acting Cough®. Vicks DayQuil Cough®. Also important, if you go to the covonia page covonia.co.uk/products/orig... and click Description you'll see a lot of warnings, such as: not suitable for productive cough, can cause addiction. Hope this helps best wishes from Spain, NIK
I find ASDA’s own Bronchial Mixture to be excellent and prefer it to the Cavonia one. tastes better to with no after taste and not as hefty on the price either.
Maybe with all the new cough mixtures on the market there is not so much call for ones like Covonia so chemists don't order so much. I used to get one before and had to change to Covonia now thats not available most cough mixtures like flu & cold remedies have similar ingredients , I find lemsip will relieve coughs but beware it has paracetamol in it if you are taking them for pain. Maybe the chemist could suggest an alternative.
