There has been a lot of talk about cats recently which reminds me of much I miss the contributions that Mike aka skischool used to make. Take a look at this classic 'Cat Curling.' 😂

In many ways we were complete opposites. I suppose that's what made it work so well, our sense of humour was the same, He really could make me LOL. This cat curling still does.🤣

We lose people all the time but some losses make a bigger impact than others. Still often in my thoughts ski's.

Remember that all messages are achieved and can still be read using the search facility. Mike's account is still open so his stuff can be traced under his name whereas mine will be shown as 'hidden' because I closed my original account in protest when they ditched the BLF name. I think the search facility should be given more prominence in place of 'related posts' there's some really good stuff in the achieves.

I’ve just been looking through some of his old stuff on your recommendation. I really wish I’d known Mike, what a funny, uplifting chap he seems to have been. And never a word of complaint, just kindness. No wonder you all miss him so x

He was a complicated character, I never knew whether or not to believe half of what he said. But he could be very funny and I miss him, it was a shock when he died. Another member who was very popular, was an Irish lady who unfortunately closed her account before she died . She wrote gentle stories about life in her little Irish cottage. She was called Vashi so if you search on that it will come with posts for you to start a trail by searching on unusual words she used. Tried to encourage members to make more use of the search box 5 years ago.

Definitely a good tip. When I first joined I spent a fair while searching, and found so much useful info! And if I notice a person seems particularly knowledgeable, I search for their name in Members and scroll through to see if they’ve posted any other helpful stuff. Of course, I’m quite nosy anyway 😊

I’m sure he would be happy to know he’s still making us laugh. That doesn’t stop us missing him. ❤️

I miss Mike and Scruffs writings too and his links to the races to catch another update on CMB's dismal track record!😊 Like you, Don, he had a gift for making us laugh and appreciate the nuances of life.

Well Don that looks like the real thing on TV with a fur coat, did not know cats could ski. I just bought a Kosset carpet but no white cat included 🐱maybe this one will do for me. Thanks for memories of Mike and the skiing on TV was good and UK won a few medals. 🍰☕ a little cake and cuppa just for you
