Well this year not started good mum shipped me of to my nana as both her and James feel terrible with colds and coughs and she didn't want to risk me catching it . Hope they get better soon there seems to be lots of bugs around so stay safe everyone .

At least you’re in a safe place. My husband has this cold that’s going round - I’m keeping well away from him! I rarely get colds and am on long term antibiotics because of frequent chest infections in the past but it would just be my luck to get this one!

Your mum did right to ship you out , better safe than sorry . We had to cancel two family get togethers at our house due to family having coughs and colds I was so looking forward to them as they would have been the first since since Christmas 2019 but it was more important to keep Geoff safe . Now we re debating wether to have a Christmas Buffet and games night for my birthday in February or at Easter but one way or another we ll be having it at some point ! 😂

There are indeed some very nasty bugs. My husband and I have been ill with one all over Christmas. If your Mum and James have the same one, you are definitely better off out of it!

Great that you have your Nanna's to escape to and it will at least give your Mum and James time to get better without having to think about anything else and means you are in a safe place. So many bugs going around I am still wearing my mask when out as I really dont want to get anything now. Take care x

Your mum is wise. Lots of nasty bugs about. I’m usually ok and have mild asthma/bronchiectasis but I succumbed to a bug in November and one again now which have really affected my bronchiectasis/ asthma. Keep safe. Enjoy nanas company. Hope your mum and James get well soon Happy new year. X
