approximately 6 months ago my chemist started having problems with getting my prescription for Seebri inhaler so I have been using different brands. Is anyone still using Seebri inhaler or has it been taken off the market?

I use Seebri the supply of which is fine but then i do live in Cyprus. Some inhalers such as Trimbow are not available here. I guess I’ll find out in 2 weeks when next prescription is due. I’ll let you know then. Take care

The pharmacist would be able to tell you if it has been discontinued. I know that numerous drugs/medications are in extremely short supply in the uk Pharmacist are giving out alternatives. This applies to prescribed and over the counter item.

Sorry this didnt really answer your question but might explain why.🤔

I couldnt get my inhaler Seretide this time, but always have a spare just in case. I am wondering if its anything to do with the Christmas holidays and strikes, but if you have been having problems for 6 months I would think there is something wrong with supply, ask the chemist they will tell you x

I believe they are trying to take the CFC inhalers off the market. Whether that is what has happened to yours I’m not sure. They tried to change my Fostair but itvdidnt work and I was I’ll for seven weeks.

it’s HFA they’re trying to take off the market now! I remember they phased out CFCs about a decade or so ago but now it’s become clear that HFAs are still damaging to the environment. I believe Seebri is a powder inhaler, it is definitely still prescribed as it’s on my local Trust’s formulary. I know there have been ongoing supply chain issue though :/

Thanks, I am glad to hear it is still listed. Yes, it is a powder in capsule inhaler like the Onbrez which I also use. I am hoping it is just a supply issue, the nurse at the doctors said she would look into it (beginning of December) and I have been unable to ask the chemist as they have not been answering their phone.

Happy New Year, let’s hope it is a bit kinder to everyone this year.
