I know this feeling so well and often think I am losing the will to live. I was a fit and athletic young man and I often just become so low about what this illness has done to me. I try to be positive everyday as I use my nebuliser ,then huff and puff around my flat. It is very wearing but don't give up. Thinking of you xxx

I know the feeling, gasping for breath, Coughing day and night. I’m tired of the doctor saying ARE u using this that or the other. Yes I am.

I’m tired full stop. Gasping last Tuesday and Wednesday, dreadful facial headache, coughing up, head pounding, wasn’t interested in food,(no harm there😂🤣), oh it’s from a nasal drip! - Don’t U Know.

No point in going to the doctor. Take this that and the other, and use Neti pot. Etc. There seems to b no answer.

My nose is now dry feels blocked uncomfortable.

However, upwards and onwards, things will improve I know.

Sorry for the rant, I’ll b grand tomorrow.

im terminal with a definite time limit im in pain each and every day I struggle to breath day and night im trying to make the most of each and every day . Speak to your gp or specialist about how you feel emotionally I think we all go through the stage of wanting to give up I do most days so I go In my kitchen and make a cake a pie anything because it's my Therapy speak to your doctor find something that you enjoy that you can do and do it make it your therapy. Take care and I hope you can get help and support through this I know it's hard . 👍🏼😔

🤗 Bake a lovely plain sponge cake with white powder and water icing on top of it and send me a slice in the post and hopefully baking that will make you smile at the request and take your mind of your pain and allow your breathing just a little relaxed reprise. Struggling to breathe is just horrible and very scary too. It is what put me into my coma. My lungs are damaged, my inhalers never leave my side. When I can sleep it is frequently disrupted and disturbed by almost stopped breathing, horrendous coughing and gasping for air in the breathlessness that has hit me and woken me or kept me awake. Tight chest, wheezing, whistling and rattling in lungs, elephant sat on chest, pain, horrible pain in lungs and inhalers that just don't seem to work as well anymore. It is mild pain in comparison to your own I am absolutely certain. And certain you would believe yourself pain free if we could only swap so that you could have relief and I could learn what true constant pain truly feels like to live with 24/7 and to not class my pain ever as pain I'm certain that would then happen. My pain feels horrendous it never goes, I'm aware though that there is even worse pain people must endure daily that never let's up either and that is true agonising pain I have never experienced and don't think my constant pain now or past childbirth pain even comes close to what you and others in terminal constant pain must endure that even morphine doesn't touch. x

Thats very sad to read . Sending prayers and calming thoughts. Only you can judge the quality of life that is acceptable and worth enduring. I truly cannot imagine your suffering. Can you contact a medical professional for support? Drugs change all the time and you never know there may be something they can provide to ease your misery. Good luck .

That sounds so tiring and is bound to make you feel low. It is worth speaking to one of the nurses at Asthma UK. They are very knowledgeable and really take time to listen.

I sometimes wake in the night with a tight chest but usually just taking my ventolin inhaler (which I keep by my bed) and that helps. As I have allergies I find it can help to switch on the air filter too.

Take care, and do seek some help to get better control of your symptoms. Even small changes can make a difference.
