I'm moving to a bungalow in a cult de sac too! I hope it's not the same house,ha. Mine's' in Congleton, Cheshire.
Its a nice estate, lovely& peaceful. Only downside-no local shop & Morrison's is nearest, 20mins walk away . I don't drive. Anyone know the costs of Delivery charges from Morissons&the specifics?

The Morrisons website will give you the delivery charges. People who sign up for regulardeliveries tend to get a cheaper deal than those who only order periodically. Of course, you can have deliveries from any of the supermarkets. It’s worth looking at them so that you can decide. I have used Ocado since they started and find that I spend lesswith my regular order than if Igo wandering around a supermarket.
I also use Ocado and have a delivery pass to cut down costs of delivery. I agree that it’s worth looking at different supermarkets to find out which Gigold prefers, and not assuming Morrisons is only choice. Although Morrisons might be very good, I haven’t ever tried them.During pandemic (once I got priority delivery) I used both Tesco and Sainsbury’s but for various reasons wasn’t happy with either of those delivery services. A friend suggested Ocado and initially I was sceptical because I assumed they would be too expensive. I found them to actually be excellent. I have them every 2 weeks and fresh food lasts for those 2 weeks and I find the delivery person helpful and kind. If I have any issues I get refunds quickly and effectively. From a waste perspective I waste far less food - due to it going off than previously so is probably more cost effective (for me) than other supermarkets.
Gigold good luck with your move and hope everything goes smoothly.
Hope you will be very happy in your new home. It will tell you on Morrisons site how much delivery is. Have a lovely day and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx 🌻🌻
I hope your move goes well too! Enjoy your new home!
I bought a mid week delivery pass with Asda and if I have a delivery every week the cost is about 70p per delivery, I don't know how they make a profit!
Hi good luck with the move I use Ocado. Recently Wednesday deliveries have been 99p and a lot of weekends are free delivery. You do need to keep an eye on the delivery slot information on the website but very good value.
Good luck in your new home Gigold, I hope you will be very happy there. Once you register with a supermarket you can have a look at the charges for delivery. I used them at the beginning of covid but soon found it better to walk to the supermarket and get a taxi home, that way i could pick what i wanted x
hope it all went well. try a selection of supermarkets unless you already have a favourite delivery it does vary a lot . i got delivery until my compute ? router was hacked then I had to put my card ID in and as the screen could be read I left it and go myself. after having it delivered I find getting it all is a pain , but do like to see what I am getting I now I just pay occasional visit to waitrose for what I like from there and the staples from J.Sains but supermarket meat is not as good as one particular local butchers.. don't eat much meat but do like some. waitrose has the best Thai green curry ever. so that is my staple and got a My Waitrose voucher for £i off last week too .
Hope everything goes well for your Move Gigold. And you settle in quickly. Might it be possible to get yourself a mobility scooter if it helps and you can go shopping and get you out and about. There's plenty of decent 2nd hand ones on Marketplace on Facebook. If I lived closer I would take you now problem . Congleton is a lovely area. I used to deliver around there. Take care and enjoy your new home. Brian
